Maison Blanche

Maison Blanche is a beautiful three storey French town house built in 1805, lovingly restored in 2012 and completed in 2013.  It now boasts 5 beautiful Apartments which sleep up to 30 people.

Built in Napoleon’s time, the ladies of the day would have been sweeping down its spiral stone staircase in low cut, full length empire line gowns and speaking in the local language of Occitan.

The house is situated in the centre of the riverside market town of Limoux, with many activities on the doorstep. Weekly markets, bars, shops, restaurants, wine tasting, walking, cycling, yoga, kayak and a local train service – All without need of a car. If you do have transport, it’s a great location to explore Spain, the coast and the mountains.

Limoux is the birthplace of ‘Le Bulle‘  – the bubble.  The local vineyards are bursting with the white grapes that are used to make Blanquette De Limoux.  If you are more of a red wine fan, you will not go without, the delicious local Merlot is full of sunshine flavours and is often served chilled to combat the extreme summer temperatures.

All the accommodation in Maison Blanche is geared towards year round living.  We have double glazing, insulation, acoustic insulation and efficient heating.
